Skrillex, Pretty Lights to Curate With Your Friends Festival in Nashville
October weekend to include sets by both artists, Nas, Santigold
August 24, 2012 11:00 AM ETThe Year of EDM continues apace with the announcement of yet another dance-centric festival.
Skrillex and Pretty Lights, two of the most prominent artists in the genre, are curating and headlining a two-day electronic event in Nashville. The With Your Friends Festival will be held on October 26th and 27th along the city’s waterfront; other artists slated to appear include Nas (with a nine-piece band), Santigold, 12th Planet, Dillon Francis, Michel Minert and TOKiMONSTA.
An after-party on an adjacent riverboat is also promised. Tickets are on sale for the weekend now.
“Festival producer” is just the latest line in Skrillex’s resume; he recently composed an original score for Harmony Korine’s film Spring Breakers and ranked Number Two on Forbes’ list of the Highest Paid DJs.
